Indications :
Bismuth subsalicylate work by several mechanisms in the gastrointestinal tract, including :
- normalizing fluid movement via an antisecretory mechanism
- binding bacterial toxins.
- antimicrobial activity
- Bismuth subsalicylate relives upset stomach symptoms (i.e. indigestion , heart burn , nausea , and fullness )
- Triple therapy of H.pylori ( with metronidazole and either tetracycline or amoxicillin)
